New York, NY - March 2007 - Spring Switzerland, a division of Waterford Wedgwood, the premier luxury lifestyle brand creating high quality, exquisitely handcrafted crystal and china has announced a collaboration with internationally-recognized integrative medicine physician Andrew Weil M.D., to create a new range of exclusive cookware and kitchen electrics. The Weil by Spring "Healthy Kitchen" Collection will launch exclusively in Bloomingdale's in early March.

Upholding the Spring Switzerland tradition of excellence, the "Weil by Spring" collection is a modern, classic collection of cookware and kitchen electrics. "We are thrilled to work with one of today's most prominent leaders in the integrative medicine field to bring Spring Switzerland's hallmark blend of tradition and innovation to a new generation of customers," said Peter Cameron, chief executive officer of Waterford Wedgwood. "This collection reaffirms our contemporary vision, expressed through a new advertising campaign and product introductions, and positions us for continued advancement at the forefront of the housewares market." Cameron added.

Commenting on the upcoming collection, Dr Weil notes: "I am proud to collaborate with Waterford Wedgwood on this cookware line, as I believe good health begins in the kitchen. Together, we have created this authentic healthy lifestyle brand to provide consumers the tools they need for optimal food preparation."

The cooking vessels are 5 ply bonded 18/10 steel as opposed to the more traditional 3 ply, and employ a manufacturing technique that does not permit cooking ingredients to come into contact with the aluminum of the various products. The design also incorporates specially formulated "rolled edges" that prevent food from interacting with the aluminum. This unique feature was carefully created in response to current medical theories regarding aluminum and the development of neurological concerns, such as Alzheimer' disease. The cookware offers a lifetime warranty, and the collection includes a concise range of essential pieces with streamlined design for modern living and ranges in price from $69.99 for a 2 Slice Toaster to $799.00 for the 12-Piece Cookware Set.

Andrew Weil, M.D., donates all of his after-tax profits from royalties from sales of the Weil by Spring collection to the Weil Foundation, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting integrative medicine through training, education and research.
