Rolfing is named after Dr. Ida P. Rolf, who referred to her work (as some still do) as "structural integration." Dr. Rolf created a system of deep manipulation of connective tissues aimed at relieving physical misalignment through a series of 10 sessions, each focusing on a different part of the body. People seek rolfing as a way to ease pain and chronic stress and to improve performance in their professional and daily activities. Trained rolfers may designate themselves as a CR or CAR.
