Green Tea, Red Wine and Chocolate
Dr. Weil considers green tea, red wine and chocolate to be great sources of antioxidants in the diet. Green tea has been shown to lower risk of mortality. Other studies show red wine has beneficial effects on cardiovascular health, but Dr. Weil stresses it is important to moderate alcohol intake. Even dark chocolate has been shown to decrease blood pressure when included in the daily diet.
