I had a very gifted naturalpath tell me that what I thought was anxiety attacks really was my hiatal (sp?) hernia.  The racing heart and supposed anxiety happened in the morning.  He said that my hernia was putting pressure on my diaphragm and thus pressing my heart when I would rise in the morning.  He was right!  I started eating without drinking anything until 30 minutes afterwards and allowing my stomach acids to do the job without diluting with liquids.  There was no hernia action and the morning heart pounding went away.  He also said that this type of hernia is related to separation issues.  And, again he was right.  I was going through a horrid divorce, picked up my roots and moved away from my community of friends AND suffering the empty nest.

Thank you

We thought this very interesting and did put a link on the front page for others to read and give some idea of the mind/body connection.
