Hey Eddy,
Thanks for all the good info!!! I'm slowly working on different spots around the house to see what works best. I am, of course, looking foward to spring when I can open the windows and air out the house!

Since you describe your home as having baseboard heating, it is assumed that your heat is distributed via heat radiating from strips run around the perimeter of your rooms.  Hence, your home lacks the typical forced air flow that aids in convective evaporation of moisture on window surfaces.  During remediation for mold damages, contractors erect several fans in rooms to promote drying of surfaces.  Circulating fans (including ceiling fans) operated especially during winter will help convective evaporation as well as redistribute your heated air from ceiling area to room area (hot air rises - ceiling temperatures are usually 10-12 degrees higher than room set point conditions - why waste energy keeping your ceiling warm?).
