I have severe allergies to mold in foods.  I avoid all fresh berries, as they often have mold.  Don't eat any fresh fruit that has mold on any part of it, because it can spread throughout the fruit even if you can see it.  Also read the labels on cheeses.  Types such as Brie actually have a type of mold listed in the ingredients.  And make sure any regular cheese you are eating is mold free.  I can usually tell just by smelling it.  Bread can easily get moldy, so check it carefully.  If I'm not sure how old it is or if it has been sitting out, I usually don't eat it.  Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. I have been avoiding all cheeses specifically because of the dairy aspect. So what cheeses would be mold-free?

The regular cheeses like cheddar, jack, mozarella.  Steer away from things like brie and bleu cheese.  Stick with the common ones and you should be OK.

Your info is a great help. I sure have been missing cheese, so now I'll begin introducing it back into my meals. God Bless you.
